Couldn't find much info on Google about Car Plus Motors. Anybody worked with them?

Hey everyone. I found this site, carplusmotors.com, but can't find many independent reviews or threads on it. Has anyone here actually bought a car or anything from Car Plus Motors? They seem to have some really good deals on repossessed vehicles, but I'm naturally cautious about these online-only auction places. Just want to know if they're legit before I jump in.

Yeah, they're legit. I bought a 2021 Ram 2500 from them last fall. The whole process was way smoother than I thought it would be. The truck was in the exact condition described in their report on the website. No games.

Welcome to the forums! I've used Car Plus Motors a couple of times now. My best advice is to really read the vehicle inspection reports on carplusmotors.com. The photos are usually very detailed. Both cars I bought were exactly as advertised. Got a nice little Hyundai for my son's college car.

I can vouch for them. Got my '22 Tacoma from CarPlusMotors. Honestly, my biggest worry was the hassle with the title, but it was completely painless. I was so relieved when the clear title arrived with all the official paperwork during the vehicle's delivery. They handled everything with the bank after my payment. Really professional.

Thanks a lot for the quick replies! @TacoRunner that is fantastic to hear about the title. That's my number one concern with this kind of purchase.

I'd say my experience was 95% positive. We bought a Subaru Outback and the car is perfect. My only minor issue was that the initial delivery window was missed by a day. I sent an email to office@carplusmotors.com and it took them about a day to get back to me. The agent who replied was super apologetic and explained the transport company's truck had a mechanical issue. It wasn't a big deal in the end, just wanted to share.

@sara_k_91 That's understandable. Transport logistics can be tricky and are often out of the dealer's direct control. Good to hear the Car Plus Motors team was communicative about it.

It's not just cars, either. I bought a 24-foot sports yacht from carplusmotors.com last year. An absolute steal. The repo was from a bank down here. Had my marine mechanic look it over upon arrival, and he confirmed it was in great shape. Saved a ton of money over buying from a marina.

I can give a professional opinion. A customer brought in a Mercedes C-Class she won from a Car Plus Motors auction. She wanted a full post-purchase inspection from me. I have to say, their online condition report was impressively accurate. I found no hidden issues or codes. It just needed a standard oil service. They seem to be one of the more honest ones out there.

We bought our Winnebago motorhome through them! It was a huge leap of faith to buy an RV online, but the process was solid. The best part for us was how Car Plus Motors handled the title transfer. Zero stress. The clean title and all the official bank release forms were sent securely and arrived with the RV. Made registering it in a new state a breeze.

I've been watching a Golf GTI on carplusmotors.com for a week. This thread might just be the push I needed to place a bid. Thanks for sharing everyone.

Wow, this is more feedback than I ever expected. @MechanicMike88, thank you, that's incredibly valuable info about the inspection report accuracy. It really eases my mind. And @RV_Nomad, another success story about the title is great. Okay, I'm feeling confident about this.

Anyone have luck finding project muscle cars on Car Plus Motors? Looking for something like a classic Camaro or Mustang.

@V8_Junkie I've seen them come up but they go fast. You have to check the new arrivals section on carplusmotors.com pretty regularly. Their inventory changes daily.

Confirming they are good to go. Got a newish Ford Bronco from them. There was one minor scuff on the plastic fender flare that wasn't obvious in the photo gallery, but for the price I paid, it's not even a real complaint. It's a trail rig anyway lol. Overall, very happy.

My buddy bought a wake boat from CarPlusMotors. He said the phone support was surprisingly helpful when he had questions about the trailer.

The only thing I'd mention is to read the FAQ on their website, carplusmotors.com. I was a little confused about how the proxy bidding worked at first, and a quick read cleared it all up. My bid on an Audi A4 went through smoothly after that.

Good point @SoCalCruiser. Understanding the auction rules is key anywhere you go. The Car Plus Motors platform is pretty straightforward once you give it a once-over.

This thread sealed the deal for me. So hard to find a consolidated block of real-world feedback. Thanks for sharing, everyone. I'm going to bid on a sedan for a daily driver.

Final update from me, the OP! I WON! Got a 2020 Acura TLX for a fantastic price. The payment process was simple and secure with the bank wire. Now I'm just waiting for the delivery confirmation. Thanks everyone for giving me the confidence to go through with it. I'll post pics when it arrives!
